Waukegan Harbor South Pier

The existing structure consists of a cast in place concrete pier structure founded on timber piling. Numerous modifications had been previously performed on the structure.

A double mat of reinforcing steel was installed and a 12” thick crowned concrete cap was placed. Concrete was installed in a checkerboard pattern per the request of the USACE.
